Tmux commandes ne fonctionne pas

Quand je tape ctrl+b(en appuyant sur) bouton et puis appuyez sur la touche c, rien ne se passe. Pas de ctrl+b commande de combinaisons de travail. Seulement ces deux commandes:

tmux new-session -s {session-name}
tmux kill-session -t {session-name}

Aussi je ne suis pas capable de créer de nouvelles imbriquée session. Comment créer une nouvelle session. Sont là pour tous les modes à l'aide de combinaisons de vim. Pour eg. hit esc normal/mode de commande, frappé i pour le mode insertion et le v pour le mode visuel. Je pose cette question parce que je doute si j'ai besoin d'appuyer sur quelques touches avant de donner des commandes de touche ctrl+b+n. Ils sont juste écrit comme du texte normal dans le terminal.
